Issue Three

At The Doug Williams Group, the holiday season is a time when we reflect on the blessings we have received, reprioritize our business activities, and enjoy special moments with our families and friends.

We are very grateful for the trust and confidence our clients place in us and at this time of year we have a unique opportunity to express how thankful we are by giving to others.

In the past, like most professional service firms, we sent expensive holiday gifts to our clients to thank them for their business. A few years ago we started a new tradition of donating to selected non-profit organizations with special needs. Opportunities to make a positive difference in our communities are everywhere we turn. Thanks to our clients, here are a few examples of what we have been able to do in the past. You may want to consider starting a similar tradition at your firm.

We provided gift certificates to over 50 needy families so they could purchase basic household items and food through a designated donation to The Miami Dade County Community Action Agency.

This is a photograph of their staff being presented a donation by Mr. Gary Cook, Senior Management Consultant.

We helped create special memories for the kids who attend Neva King Cooper Educational Center by participating in their holiday celebration and provided funds to ensure that their amazing staff had a holiday party.

This is a picture of one of these great kids receiving a Christmas gift.

This year we have decided to celebrate the holidays by helping families get involved in their local YMCA. The YMCA makes a huge difference in people's lives through a tremendous variety of high quality programs that are specifically designed to meet the needs of the local community.

The YMCA is a family place, and we want to provide scholarships to families who do not have the financial resources to be part of the Y. Click here to learn more about the YMCA of Greater Miami.

To accomplish this goal on a long-term basis, we have created an invested endowment fund for the YMCA of Greater Miami that will provide a perpetual source of funds for membership scholarships through interest and dividends. We are very excited about the mission, vision, and goals of the YMCA of Greater Miami and we have great confidence in their leaders and staff. Please Email me if you would like to learn more about how you can support the YMCA of Greater Miami.

It is only because of clients and friends like you that we are able to make a significant, long-term, positive impact in the lives of others. Thank you and please accept our sincere wish that you and your family enjoy a wonderful holiday season.

Best personal regards,

Doug Williams
